But, in the scene, it looked more like he just pushed the bottle over to Daisy and that she already had a drink in front of her - a case of a guy bringing an unasked for drink to a girl with the intention of pushing it on her then claiming she owed him something for it. In fact, I'd guess he'd put something in that beer! I agree that, in life, it is just courteous to at least hear what someone has to say IF you ACCEPT the initial overture of a drink; BUT, there's NO obligation AND you should be VERY CAREFUL about drinking anything - if you didn't WATCH that drink from the moment the bottle was opened, or the bartender started making the drink, until it was in your hand, you cannot trust that it's okay; and, you shouldn't drink it if you don't keep your friends around you to make sure you stay okay.

I don't like to make predictions but seeing Victoria Hand on the list made me realize that Ward has a good chance of actually coming back. With shields survival being priority, they may need to push Ward to be recruited by Hand, which is what happened in the framework. That'd be big fan service.

Um, in regards to the pointless drink argument. Daisy already had a drink when Gideon gave her a second one and never even accepted his. So the entitlement Pat believes exists, doesn't. You can't expect anything from anyone just by putting a drink in front of them.

There is a theory out there that Jemma had her memory wiped and her memories are stored inside of Enoch. The device in her neck is accessing Enoch's drive for her memories. That's why she was forgetting things when they weren't near each other.

i surprised Deke did that but i'll accept it. pretty damn good episode. i usually offer to buy a girl a drink rather than just do it. i don't think you're ever entitled to a conservation, i would internally be bummed. i would take the hint though, it's not the end of the world haha

Coupla things. Project Insight wasn't CA: Civil War; it was CA:The Winter Soldier. And Pat has a point. If I don't want the strings that come with the drink, I decline the drink. But it's still a good point also that if I accept the drink, I should still be able to have some say in do I accept what the strings are. Whatever they are. I might accept a couple of minutes of chit chat. But I may not accept the obligation to call you a cab to get you home after you're too drunk to drive. But in all cases, no means no. Early or late. Thing is, accepting the drink is a yes.

They went to the premiere of Endgame while filming this episode so it is possible they were able to tie into those stories during the back half of the season. That would depend on Marvel allowing them and we all know how they feel about their tv shows.

I'm glad we're getting MCU tie ins, the super soldier serum, Mack mentioning Coulson's sacrifice for the Avengers, Bruce Banner. I wonder if they're going to address Peggy ending up with Cap just to give Sousa closure. It would be the first thing they did to acknowledge the events of Endgame. Either way, Sou-sy vibes are strong with Deke seemingly getting an individual arc revolving around the status quo (which is dope because I think Jeff Ward is a good actor who can flex with a more serious m.o.) Lastly, my boy Fitz needs to pull up soon.

Nathaniel Malek wants to use the same surgery that Whitehall used (will use) on Daisy's mom. At this time Hydra hasn't found Jiaying yet (Daisy isn't born for another 15 years) so he hasn't actually succeeded in transferring powers yet.

The writer and director for this episode watched several 70s era tv shows before filming this for some context and one of the episodes they watched was called "Trout in the Milk". That is how they came up with this episode title. Another random tidbit: Thy actually had to film new scenes for the intro. They were going to use old clips and the Screen Actors Guild told them that wasn't allowed.

It's basically a ton of behind the scenes talk about each episode. Chloe (Daisy) and Jeff Ward (Deke) have joined most weeks. Enoch, Sousa (whose real names I forgot), and the Whedon's (Jed and his wife Maurissa who are the showrunners) joined last week. It's really informative and quite funny. I think you'd all enjoy it.
