There's always been five Zoldyck siblings. All the way back in the mini-arc where Killua went home, the tour guide spoke about how there's five children. And a bit more recently, during the Phantom Troupe portion of the Chimera Ant arc, Kalluto talks about saving his brother with the same picture of the siblings with their mother on display just like how it was at the end of this episode.

Yeah, it is a bit jarring to watch and looks like a ton of effort for the editor when it probably doesn't change anything because the algorithm picks up on the long clips of copyrighted audio as is. Have seen people who react to full episodes with 0 footage get copystriked just because the volume was loud enough with not enough interruptions to dodge the algorithm. Not sure why they are bothering when it is being uploaded to vimeo either, but I'll just assume they plan to reupload to youtube eventually and just dont want to have a cleaner separate version for those of us who pay for it vs what they put out for the free peeps on youtube. At least this is just for the last arc so isn't so bad, just will listen to it in the background of working instead of watching I suppose

Short answer: The Zodiacs didn't help because Pariston prevented them from helping. The Tiger and Dragon talked about this at the table. Morel and Knov also talked about the Vice Chairman's faction preventing more Hunters from assisting.

A few Zodiacs did actually wonder why Netero didn’t contact them to help with the ants. I assumed he didn’t want them to get involved in case they were all killed, which would leave the Hunter Association completely without leadership.

I think it's just the fact that after Meruem and the ants, Pariston seems like a big downgrade. I know people felt that way after in the Greed Island arc with Genthru since he came after the Troupe.

The 1999 anime went to the end of the Greed Island arc but all of the greed island arc stuff were OVAs. The anime ended with the shot of Kite fishing by the tree when Gon used accompany on Nigg. I just kinda headcanon that in the 1999 anime it was Ging and Gon had a happy ending meeting his dad even though I know it's not true.

they explained before that Morel & Knov are fighting the Chimera Ants instead of more suitable Hunters like the Zodiacs because of the faction inside the Hunter Association that works against the Chairman. They even mentioned that this faction is the faction of the Vice-Chairman. They explained all that in the Chimera Ant arc setting up this arc

I actually prefer it like this, it allows them to keep the screen in more often and doesn't need giant text over it. And we've all seen it before (I'd assume) so I don't really see how it retracts from their reaction

Ok if this series done, you should watch HUNTER X HUNTER THE MOVIE. And next anime is ASSASSIANTION CLASSROOM, it's very good anime.

I’m a high fan of pariston(rat) and I don’t know how people hate him, I know it’s early but let’s see there opinions of him. Also suck they won’t get to see what comes BEYOND this or my favorite character finally gets another arc again. Also heavens arena.

while the first theory is an interesting idea. That begs the question, Why would they still dress as a girl if they are trying to be secretive? though it is something to thing about.

So let's just nip this in the bud right away, because this always (justifiably) causes confusion. While Illumi mentions another Zoldyck brother, in fact Killua is going home to see his sister, and yes, these refer to the same person. For some reason that, as far as I can tell, has never been explained, Killua refers to her as a girl, while everyone else uses male pronouns for her, and it's never addressed or explained, in show or out. Many people will authoritatively state THE REASON FOR THIS IS X, but no one ever feels the need to source any of these claims, just expect you to accept their claim. The most popular theories for this inconsistency that I've seen (in no particular order) are: 1) It's a Zoldyck family tradition to refer to all their children as male, probably related to keeping family info secret. The Zoldyck's don't hide, but neither do they make it easy to find out information about the family members, as seen by the tour guide mentioning how much just a photo of one of them is worth when the gang visits their home. Killua, having left the family business, is more lax about the rule. 2) The sister has a unique dual nature, and the pronoun weirdness is related in some way to this fact. (this will make more sense once you've seen a few more episodes) 3) The sister is transgender and identifies as female. Killua, the good brother, respects that and uses her preferred pronouns; the rest of the family are dicks. With I guess a fourth possibility being something no one else has thought of that the author has yet to tell us. Whatever the reason for it, no you're not remembering incorrectly, they're not talking about different people, there wasn't a translation error, you didn't miss anything, and you're not going crazy. It's just a weird thing that happens this arc that is never acknowledged. Anyhow, enjoy the arc. People sleep on it because it's after that last amazing arc and is short, but there's a lot in it, a lot of heart, and some great complex characters, especially the rat who took me multiple views to really understand. It certainly earns its place in hxh.

If youre thinking about reading the manga because you don’t want it to end, you might want to wait because there are rumors that the anime is continuing in fall 2021. If you are new to manga then I would strongly recommend waiting because the manga has large text and exposition blocks that can make it confusing to read for someone inexperienced (I was lost when i tried to read it.) Anyway, I think you should wait for some concrete news on if and when the new season is coming before reading, especially if you aren’t super experienced with manga.
