Last episode he goes "but home lander could have lasered those people in the plain but he didn't" It doesn't matter, the plane crashed either way. The way you go hard defending villains is a bit troubling..

I’m curious to hear what their thoughts are on Billy destroying the tombstone. I personally thought he went too far and thought it was selfish for destroying the tombstone after he heard why the put it up in the first place. I imagine that poor woman is going to get a phone call about her daughter’s tombstone being destroyed and it is just going to reopen the wound and destroy her emotionally. I do understand Billy is hurting just as much and he only did it because he was sure she was alive, but it had been eight years now and I feel like if I was in his position I would have understood my mother-in-law’s wishes and let her put it up. If we find her alive later we can just take it down.

Homelander is an absolutely fantastic villain, so well-acted, but he's absolutely about as evil as it gets. Whether or not he's a sociopath: we'd need a doctor's opinion probably, but he does show a distinct lack of empathy for other people and seems only concerned with how individuals in his life fulfill his interests and desires.
