we have no choice storywise but to believe viren BUT i only believe 98% of what he says. there are no such thing as coincedences. he is a master manipulator. they really want us to believe that he just happened to have this jar and spell to capture her dying breath on hand? if so why her and not some nameless peasant/soldier he could have done this to months ago since he's been trying to do this spell for a while (he said he's been trying to capture unicorns but have failed). notice they always stop showing us the queen's death, we just see her injured in his arms....my theory is that yes she was hurt but not dying and he saw an opportunity to cast this spell. kill the queen, capture her dying breath, blame it on the dragon king making the only ingredient needed left is the unicorn's horn. a scheme only a mastermind after aerovos' heart could come up with

I feel like its full truth purely because Aravos is his true ally. he would have zero reason to change the story. If anything its probably more of a brag. Especially when he heard how excited his little bug friend was.

For what it's worth, I think Viren's story of Avizandum is basically the full truth. As it is, the full story shows us the full extent of the cycle of revenge, and how everyone gets caught in it and makes good people do terrible things and justify it to themselves. For example, you have Harrow, a good husband, father, and king to his people. But Sarai's death eats at him, even after all those years. He tries to resist, but it only takes a few prods from Viren to blind him to the fact that he intends to assassinate the Dragon King in cold blood. It was so easy for the two of them to say, "This is justice," while completely forgetting the fact that there was no way the other side wouldn't come to the *exact* same conclusion. And so, because Avizandum killed Sarai, Harrow killed Avizandum, and then the elves killed Harrow, and now Viren's invading Xadia. All while everyone involved thinks, "But I'm on the *right* side. I fight for justice. They killed the ones I loved, I have to retaliate." No one is innocent, and there can't be an end to it the way they've been doing things. That's what makes what Callum, Ezran, and Rayla doing so important, to prove that there is a way out of the cycle.

I can't remember the episode, but you might recall it. When Viren was first studying the mirror in his chambers and trying random spells to unlock its secrets, he mused that it must be more than just a mirror. Of all the treasures in Thunder's lair, the dragon kept it especially close to him. So it was an artifact taken as a spoil of war after Thunder was slain. Whether or not King Harrow was aware of it (or the egg for that matter) I'm not sure. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You know Aaravos must be evil/powerful if the king of dragons had to seal him away himself. Also, prepare for "this is not a kid's show" quotes for the remaining episodes. lol

I think Viren is sincere about his pro-Human motives if for no other reason than it's more interesting. Because if he's just a power hungry mage, then he's basically just Jafar, and no offense to Jafar, but Viren is better off as a tragic hero than a traditional villain.

Great upload guys! I don't think I thought about the implications of removing the spear before but that would be interesting if the petrification didn't kill him.
