Its not that Charlotte mom instinct knew it was Amenadiel its because that is Amenadiel's actual psychical angel body same with Lucifer and Mazikeen, well in their case its devil and demon body. They didn't have to take possession of a recently dead person when they came to earth.

Favorite scene in the episode was when Dan had the divorce bit with Chloe. Extremely tough conversation to get yourself to have with your wife, and i could feel this mans pain through the screen. Actor did a solid job. Maybe I'm just bad at predicting shit, but i didn't see that coming at all in this episode based off the man's body language this ep π - Great reaction guys. Another one down.
