I was not aware there were Amish in the Normies lol

Here's my fan theory: Watch Pietro in the episode again. Pay attention to his dialogue, his diction, his mannerisms. Especially when he sits talking to Wanda, concerned and understanding. Then picture Benedict Cumberbatch's voice and face doing and saying the exact same things.

Given the amount of sacrifice and suffering heroes endure to save normal people, who either don't care or complain about the heroes... it's probably a good thing if some normal people get to experience the suffering heroes go through saving them, maybe they'll see why the Sokovia Accords were a bad idea and why the blip was their fault.

@Stefan, I actually think this might be a matter of interpretation. You are under the impression that its physical pain, and I disagree. Just like Monica mentioned when she came out of it, its not physical pain, what they are feeling is Wanda's pain and grief. So its as if all her sadness for losing her loved ones is being put onto others. Even Norm makes it sound more like a mental invasion as opposed to their physical forms being harmed in any way.

sword is without a doubt, the worst run organization in the history of tv/movies/everything

Did anyone else notice when vision was walking and trying to talk to the people who were not moving, you could clearly see his breath but you couldn’t see the breath of the other people when the camera was up close on their faces....were they breathing at all? Or were they completely frozen in time?

I think its hard to really extract what about this situation and Hayward so far is actually "evil" The only thing I can think of that he is likely doing is that he was probably building weapons out of visions corpse which is really messed up. But besides that I don't see him doing anything evil. SWORD is not putting any of the towns people in danger or hurting them, Wanda is. Being mind controlled hurts and the people in the periphery of her control are almost definitely slowly starving to death like the kid in the yogurt commercial. If the vision weapon thing is true he is certainly a villain of some kind, but idk how you can make the argument that that makes him a bigger villain than Wanda herself with the mass torture/starvation of an entire town.

King Abydos

But according to Norm last episode, being controlled is actually painful, so if those children in the town are experiencing that same kind of pain even if only for an episode, that's pretty horrible. I mean, it'd still be horrible just with the adults, but it's especially bad if kids are involved.

Sometimes if its a really good episode and hes out he will do make up videos at home. So fingers crossed.

To play devils advocate though (Hayward is still the villain dick for sure) but as far as Wanda goes, the people are in no danger currently. While they don't have free will, the only imminent threat to their health and safety is purely SWORD. So yes, having captors isnt great but I would say Wanda is far from as bad as Hayward and the soldiers are.

Erich Bomke

Yea Hayward is evil and a dick, but he didn't force Wanda to expand the Hex. Like I said before Wanda may have no created this but she is standing by and letting this shit happen. There are thousands of innocent people in there and she is doing nothing. People who stand by while fucked up shit is happening are just as evil as the people doing the fucked up shit.
