I laughed when Chris' argument for daily vs weekly episodes was "that it would've taken like 4 years" to air... LOL bruh.. trust, it took a looooot longer than that. That's just how things were back then. DBZ was only daily in the countries that had to dub the episodes so they released them in batches of 1-2 sagas. For Japan it was weekly.

When I got caught up with the dub of Naruto, Sasuke had just injured Gaara, and Orochimaru pulled a kunai on the third Hokage. I HAD to watch more episodes. I found out the show had a subbed version (I didn’t know that the show aired in Japan first, I was still an ignorant kid). I got caught up to the subbed version, watching on YouTube, (yeah that’s how old I am, you could watch full episodes on YouTube with ease) which was around Tsunade finishing off her fight with Orochimaru. I then had to watch week to week until the arc after this Pain one. Then I got bored and dropped the show. I got burned out waiting weekly and wading through filler episodes. I still haven’t finished the series, though I’ve tried a few times.

To be fair, though, I don't think the village had even been destroyed yet at the time of your poll. The only death you'd seen at that point was Jiraiya's. I'd say you're just about there now. (And yeah, start to finish, Naruto aired over the course of 15 years. Five for the original. And Shippuden aired from 2007 to 2017.)

Oooh okay. I understand the confusion. Naruto had an episode basically every week for years. So it was week to week. They legit force fed fillers to us. The fillers are not bonus content ...I mean they are but they gave it to use as if it was attached to the season.... and they would release what felt like ... an whole season in a filler arc. Bleach did it too. All you had to do was wait about 3-6 months for the canon material to come back. It’s annoying. Personally, I wish they didn’t do entire arcs of filler content. 2 episodes is more than enough

Yeah Krillin in the OG Dragonball gets killed. Also there have been other deaths as well. There was that Native Guy who gets killed by the Assassin guy. Don't remember his name? Naruto never aired in my country (The Netherlands). My brother would download Japanese episodes with English fandub and Japanese manga with English fandub so we could read ahead. We could watch/read in chunks and they we would have to wait a few weeks.

This was week to week. I hate when y’all say kids cause I started naruto when it first aired when I was in middle school by the time we got here I was in college. I don’t know any kids that watched this when it came out they all binge it on Netflix or something. Back then you had to watch on a website and hope you don’t put a virus on your computer cause crunchyroll wasn’t as good as it is now and Hulu only had up to a certain point cause they was slow with the dub so your only choice was the sub. All in all shit was rough trying to watch this only to get 6 months of filler dropped on you in the middle of a fight.

It was week to week, and yes it was very hard. There was a point I just completely stopped watching because it would be months of filler before getting back to the main story line. So I just waited like a year and a half to start watching again. But I will say it made some of the big plot points more impactful. Imagine going like 7 years thinking Itachi was evil, then finding out he was the good guy the whole time. Made the plot twist hit much harder.

I've always had a feeling Suraj has seen the show. Ever since og Naruto. His reactions/predictions still make it seem that way. Everyone else was noticeably distraught from the Hinata scene, But Suraj on the other side is lifting his eyebrow, suggest Dragonball like things out of nowhere, when every death in Naruto so far has been permanent. Everyone else, maybe giving a legit reaction but Suraj I'm calling an emergency meeting and casting a vote you're kinda sus.

I switched over from dubbed to subbed in the middle of Jiraiya vs Pain because I couldn’t wait!! But this show dropped week to week, not day to day. For me personally I started watching OG Naruto on Cartoon Network when I was about 9-10 years old, and I watched the final episode the day it aired in Japan when I was 20 years old. It’s been one hell of a journey and now I’m watching Boruto, but it’s awesome that Naruto can resonate with people of all ages and backgrounds. Keep up the good work!!

I read the manga so when the chapter spoilers for this came out we couldn't believe it. Hinata jumping in and confessing her love, Hinata dying, Naruto going Kyuubi again, it was so much at one time so the forum was down/slow. I mean, back in those days of Narutoforum weekly we had a lot of fake spoilers weekly, we had to weed out the true ones and the false ones. This sounded like a fake spoiler. Then those raw pics came out, you know, the early, dirty, rough raw pics and we couldn't believe it. It was rough. Super rough. RIP Hinata. She was one of the best characters of this series. Still sad to this day.

The shadow clones were also forbidden because of the Chakra consumption. It divided ones Chakra among the number of clones. Which is why Kakashi and Hiruzen could only use a few at a time.

"How was watching Naruto week to week?" Horrible, and the cliffhangers and fights that span multiple episodes were the least of the problems. It's the long periods of multiple months, at one point literally two years, of anticipating a continuation of the main story but instead getting another tea delivery mission to the village hidden in the whogivesafuck, that would make anybody old enough to catch on and not blindly eat up nonsense filler episodes pretty much quit the show.

Hey Normies, to answer the question about whether the episodes were released daily or week to week: it was week to week. A large portion of Shippuden fans became frustrated because the are a lot of filler episodes before the last arc of the show (like over 100 episodes of filler). But adult swim is just now airing the episodes for the last arc of Shippuden in dubbed version after years of waiting.

Okay yall just to clarify, Clone Jutsu and Shadow Clone jutsu are not the same thing. Naruto never mastered the Clone jutsu, although he might be able to do it now. But he did learn the shadow clone jutsu and that’s what he’s always using. Clone jutsu is what they were teaching at the academy. Shadow clone jutsu is a forbidden jutsu (it was in the forbidden scroll that Naruto stole on the first episode) and it works differently. With Shadow clones, all the information the shadow clone learns goes back to the original once the clone disappears. The clone jutsu doesn’t do that. The shadow clone jutsu was forbidden because of how dangerous it can be if other villages got their hands on it. If they sent a clone to the leaf and gathered intel, they’ll still have that info about the village after they kill the clone. That’s also why we only see leaf shinobi using shadow clones. The shadow clones use more chakra as well. That’s why Kakashi doesn’t use them that often or use that many when he does use it.

While this episode is great; I think it’s super important to remember that the anime studio made up 90% of it. The manga had no childhood flashbacks, Hinata NEVER landed a hit on Pain, and her entire endeavor to save Naruto lasted only *two panels* before Pain knocked her down and stabbed clean through.
