So we know everyone called Emilia the witches daughter in the past trial… and even Emilia herself was somewhat confused. But you guys all assume they are talking about “The Witch, satella” but I think it could mean she’s any one of the 7 witches daughter and I think one of the more likely candidates for it is Echidna. Of course there’s some other reasons I think this that’s went really elaborated or talked about in the anime . But even within the anime her sadness and disdain for Emilia at the end of this trial is kind of reminiscent of a mother regretting having a kid..

Also: Maili was the girl who introduced Subaru to the little Malbeast dog in S1. The one that bite him and curesd him. She played as a victim and had Subaru tried to save her during the Malbeast attack when they took all the other children. It was mentioned that one of the children had disappeared right after the incident, which was her.
