Konan is an exceptionnally talented and powerful Shinobi/Kunoichi. All those years, she took her time observing Madara's jutsus. She studied his techniques and moves then took note about how they work and for how long, to exploit their weaknesses. She even prepared a contingency plan because she knew at some point Madara would betray Nagato. She really put up a good fight, with those 600 billions paper bombs that last more than 10 min to finish exploding, she could have killed Madara right then and there. He was pushed so far that if it wasn't for the Izanagi he would have died. Konan has come the closest to killing Madara, even more than Minato who only managed to injure him.

sleeping on Konan, I see. Considering her jutsu's effectiveness and dexterity, anyone without the ability to push things such as explosions away with the flex of a muscle would have trouble. I would argue that the better argument in this epsiode is that Konan (as Pain's right hand, basically) is actually a lot stronger than you think and that maybe SHE is on Pain's level to a certain extint. either way, not saying you're wrong, but I wanted to give credit to Konan, not tear down Tobi lol

People keep saying Tobi is stronger than Pain but I point to this episode to prove them wrong. Tobi had trouble even fighting with Konan. That would not have been a problem for someone the same level as Pain.

Since you guys might’ve forgotten, Izanagi is the technique that Danzo used to continue reversing his death against Sasuke. Senju and Uchiha power is needed to perform it. Danzo in his case had Hashirama’s cells implanted into his arm and stole many eyes from the Uchiha clan to stock up basically and be able to spam it.

Rip to the best lady. Loved her character design, one of the most memorable ones - sophisticated and deadly; sympathized with her story, the redemption and the sad ending. Wish we could see more of her, but surprisingly Kishi managed to write her well with the little time she had.

The Izanagi is the justu Danzo used to constantly re-write his deaths against Sasuke. Madara used it here to re-write his death against Konan. He mentioned only those with both Uchiha and Senju DNA can use the Izanagi which was the case for Danzo and now we know is the case for Madara.
