Happy Cherry Crush Friday everynyan!
This episode is another flashback heavy one.. i can't do flashbacks guys, i suck so bad at it. One of the things about drawing comics that is that you will ALWAYS struggle, like.. financially yes but artistically, too.. I can count the time that I've felt like I executed an episode flawlessly and effortlessly on one palm and that says a lot, considering I have 92 episodes under my belt now 😭😭😭😭 People might think it gets easier as time goes on but I'm here to tell u.. even after 92 episodes later, drawing and writing comics is still insanely difficult for me.. it's fucked.. But I try, all I can do is try, and I hope everyone can see that I do..
When I wrote Kang and Mashiro for season 3, I knew there would be a huge shift once the narrative is taken out of Cherie and Crush's POV, bc Kang and Mashiro mirrors Cherie and Crush's situation in the Syndicate, one who work for a crime organization because he was born into it, and one who works for the crime organization bc he was sick of the system, and I wanted both of these characters to challenge Cherie's views, because Cherie is the character that thinks about morality the most, putting him next to these 2 makes him very unstable, and you can definitely see that in the recent episodes!
Ppl ask me a lot abt the references i make in my comics and im very guilty of that 😭😭😭 just like how were all just pieces of everyone we love my comic is just an amalgamation of everything i love, so naturally i references movies and shows and songs… im cringe but im free/// I love that when a piece of media is good, they'll get referenced in other people's work as well, so in a way, the piece of art can still be transformed even after the author is dead, and I thought that was quite amazing.. 😭😭😭I hope after I die my art gets mentioned in other people's works, too.. If I made a positive influence to someone in the world I'd die happy.
I know I owe my patrons a nsfw comic BUT DON'T WORRY!! I'll finish it tomorrow and will post it this weekend-ish, since I will be taking a short hiatus I don't want to leave my Patreon too empty.. I've been drawing Cherry Crush for 3 years now and just realized my 20s is just gonna be 30% Cherry Crush and that was kind of mortifying tbh... Anyways the nsfw comic will be posted this weekend so Appies pls keep an eye out for it ⭐
