5050 Ep 5 Script

[Zhen is scanning items mindlessly, not even noticing Jackie approaching. She's scanning a carton of milk over and over again, for some reason, it won't go through.]
Zhen: It's not going through.
Jackie: I think there's a different barcode on the bottom.
[Zhen looks up and realizes Jackie's waiting for her to finish scanning. She scans the bottom barcode.]
Zhen: Thanks.
Jackie: No problem!
[Zhen continues to scan but looks a bit distracted. Jackie is smiling warmly.]
Jackie: How's everything here at 5050? Anything new happen lately?
Zhen: Well, a guy fell off his motorcycle while trying to show off in the parking lot last week.
Jackie: You're kidding!
Zhen: Yeah, had to call an ambulance and everything.
Jackie: Oh no, I hope he's alright!
Zhen: He's still alive. Came in this morning to buy bananas.
Jackie: That's good at least.
[Zhen finishes scanning the rest of the groceries.]
Zhen: That'll be $63.
[Jackie puts her card in the machine and it goes through. Zhen hands her her receipt. Their fingers brush. Zhen blushes and Jackie smiles warmly.]
Jackie: Thank you, Zhen.
[Zhen is left staring. It zooms out to Dylan trying to scan a candy bar. It continues not to work.]
Dylan: I guess that means its freeeeee!!!!
[Zhen sighs.]
