NEW LOGO BTS

By now if you've been attention to our social media you've seen that we've gotten a brand spankin' new logo courtesy of Wayne Degen! 

Wayne has been revamping and designing logos for all our friends recently and we decided to jump on the bandwagon! We got a Fliglaba logo right before it was cool!

Our logo has been old and stale for a long ass time.

Lets take a little history walk shall we? 🚶🚶🚶

We start off in 2014 with this simple little logo from LBP designed by yours truly. It was gross but it worked for LBP!

The "O" was originally just our little mascot character Oddie the OddBall, who we also recently updated as you can see from a previous post. We changed it for Cooking with Clive: The Movie after people kept getting confused weather it was OddBall Studios, or DDBall Studios. Because that makes sense I guess.

Anyways, when we first met Caleb, he didn't have the DLC needed to put Oddie in his levels. So he made his own little logo!

Caleb also composed a tiny piece that was supposed to resemble a bouncing ball sound. He failed miserably, but we liked the tune and sped it up to become the OddBall Adventures theme! 

When Caleb was making the pilot, this was the logo he landed on.

I liked the feel of it, but wasn't fully digging with the colors or use of different OddBall logo.

So once we made Pirates are Odd, we combined the two existing logos. 

This is the logo you all knew and loved from 2015-2016! 

For the site branding and use for art, I had tried my best to redraw the logo!

Gross! But this was the logo we used from 2016 aaaall the way to 2018, ending with the short Sky Tram. 

In between that we updated the Studios logo to look like this! Look closely and you'll see I just traced the "Studios" portion. 

For The Island Episode, we did a near full overhaul of the logo. It feels like I've known this logo my whole life but nope! File says I made it June 3rd 2019, 2 days before Island 1's release. Weird!

We finally had a uniform logo design!! Keeping OddBall the same, and a hand-written sub-font. It's so cool!

We were intending to keep this one for a long while too, before Wayne went around cooking up logos. I decided, what the hell. We already redesigned Oddie, we might as well redesign the whole logo. I like change! Change is good! 

But then he spelt "ADVENTURES" wrong and sent us this. 

We liked a lot, and we didn't like a lot. 

Finally! Oddie is back in the logo in some form! The notes we initially gave him were to space out the "ADVENTURES" letters at the bottom, change the second D, and redraw Oddie. He looked a little wonky.

Wayne made the changes, and offered up one last design at Oddie.

We went with the former.

Finally, this is what he came back with! We all loved it and it was great. But after looking at it for a little bit, Dave Caleb and I all agreed that the "ADVENTURES" portion didn't fit at all. It looked too futuristic. We wanted to go back to hand-written.

Something looks off.

That's a little better. Try skewing it? 

Nah that don't work.

Looks good but ehh nah.

I LIKE THAT THERE WE GO BABY THAT'S THE ONE!!! 

And of course we just mirrored the design for Studios. 

Yay!! New logo!!!

We also have a brand new theme tune and intro to go alone with all this. You'll see it in the premiere of The Slide. Ohhoho you're all gonna love it.
