i don't believe in love at first sight but i do know the cosmic feeling erin means! i just don't believe that's love; it's something i've experienced and to me didn't feel like love but like something was clicking into place that was missing without me realising it was missing

Love is a verb that is seen through: forgiveness, patience, kindness, loyalty etc. It's not so easily gained and lost. None of these things exist in a fleeting moment. I agree that it doesn't always take everyone years and years, but definitely not instantaneous.

I just think that "Love at first sight" is not an apt term. I agree with Adal completely that the literal concept of love at first sight is just ridiculous to think about. but that weird cosmic feeling that erin talks about is what I believe most people are misnormering as love at first sight.

Emotions can grip you in many different ways upon seeing someone, whether it's the first time or not. Great conversation and great episode! Keep it up, Clue Crew!

Adal keeps talking about physical appearance and lust, but you can see much more of a person on first "sight" (and I think many people will agree with stretching the definition to a first encounter of sorts). Even without much talking, body language, the way someone acts, holds themselves, etc... All of that is stuff you can see and fall in love with.

I just assumed that it was her hand as a way of saying "hey, I'm behind you, don't back into me" but then she spoke and I realized she was in the bathroom, so it couldn't have been her. and I'm with Adal re: love at first sight

I immediately fall in love when I see my pets. I've had many friends that I've seen and immediately known I loved them and wanted to be their best friend. Many parents experience love at first sight when they see their children.

I always felt really attracted to one of them in particular. I was part of Scouts at the time and my troop merged with another and changed to become mixed gender... and she was there. We both recognised each other, although we'd never spoken before and eventually we dated. I still know her 15 years later although we aren't together. But I don't believe in love in first site really but it is weird how the universe threw us together. It's not like there weren't other attractive strangers about, there was always something about her in particular that drew me in.
