I got to say whatever lists you were looking at were wrong. Steve's episodes weren't trying to copy Dora the Explorer and Teletubbies and were actually like educational and made you think. It's been a long time but I also remember the time between Steve asking where the clue was and finding it was much shorter and usually the only didn't find it immediately because he was talking and being engaging.

I had my own notebook with little Pawprints and I would make my own little mysteries and walk my mom through them, or she would make little mysteries for me to put together.
