TV: 

• Mobland (worth mentioning I thought this was fantastic. The first half of the season is solid and then on the back half…especially episodes 9 & 10…it becomes some of the best tv of the past 5 or so years. Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine especially shine)

• The Devil’s Plan season 2

• Invincible season 3

• Black Mirror season 7

MOVIES:

• Captain America: Brave New World

OTHER: 

• I spent my birthday in Scotland which was a much needed connection with nature and quiet. The Isle of Skye especially was really an embarrassment of geographical riches. I tasted lots of whiskey, pet a few highland coo’s, hiked through plenty of rain and ate 10 to 15 bowls of cullen skink soup. Thank you everyone who provided some great recs!

• I’ve been enjoying the podcasts Good Hang w/ Amy Poehler and The Telepathy Tapes

• Music this month has been all over the place but I’ve spend some quality time with Godspeed You Black Emperor, Yin Yin’s album The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers, as well as Sam & Dave and some killer Japanese surf rock (The Carnabeats, The Bunny’s, Atomica Mosquitos, etc.)

• Had a great time at Arnie’s Eurovision party, even if Latvia was ROBBED

• Jemma and I went to Princeton for Reunions and had a good time as well as more of the best sandwiches at Hoagie Haven.

Hey Riddiots -

First a little tour update: our first two shows (Chicago, Twin Cities) are coming up at the end of June! The Twin Cities show is close to sold out so don’t wait to get tickets! In fact, a lot of the cities are close to selling out. If you are thinking of going to the Seattle or Boston shows, I’d recommend grabbing tickets soon. I’m also talking to a place in Atlanta and I’d say there is a very good chance of that show being added. Also still talking to Nashville and Houston so don’t count the south out yet! 

Recommendations! Mariah and I have been playing Clank Legacy 2. Wasn’t sure how it would be with 2 people, but it’s been a lot of fun. You can kinda treat it more like co-op, if you want. We are about half-way through it. Also picked up Against the Storm on steam sale and it’s great. It’s a city builder with roguelike progression. I’ve definitely got my money’s worth out of it, but I’ll probably give it a rest once I complete the progression tree. Oh, and I just picked up the new Elden Ring and I’m excited to dive into the co-op with a couple buddies. 

I’m still plugging away at Warhammer books. I’m about finished with all of Dan Abnett’s Gaunt’s Ghosts books and they are all pretty fething great. Will probably give the genre a rest once I’m finished. It’s a lot of books. Also picked up Alec Karakatsanis’s Copaganda and it’s a great read.  Although, obviously, not a FUN read. 

And I just finished watching The Studio on Apple TV. Really well written, beautifully shot, some great comedic moments. Overall, I would highly recommend it. 

Oh, and we’ve been working on a secret project with Anthony Burch (he’s already teased it) but it’s getting closer to being ready to release. It’s been really fun so stay tuned for an announcement soon!
