From a Blue Soap to a Blue Prince - Protector Concept Development Voiceover
Added 2024-03-16 17:48:39 +0000 UTCToday, I want to talk about the process behind this illustration, how it started, and how it was executed, the concept, and everything.
So essentially, I had this soap picture, a pink soap picture with someone took a bite or something. It's a weird reference, reminding me of Fight Club and stuff. I saved it weeks ago but didn't know what to do. Then, on Pinterest, I saw different kinds of soaps, including a blue one. Blue soap is popular in my country, like this square shaped one, it's like a cultural thing.
I picked the reference, but then I spent a few minutes thinking what would be a good companion for this particular reference? . So I don't know why I thought that hands would be interesting because eventually you use hands to, you know, to wash stuff with the soap.
Symbols resembling soap bubbles adorned the prince's attire. The princess, simple, showed concern for the prince.
It's a straightforward composition, reflecting the evolving process, becoming simpler over time. I spent most of the time thinking about the concept, then executing it relatively quickly. I aimed for an animation or anime style with flat shadows and bright colors.
I hope you enjoy this process. Feel free to ask questions or try out these techniques. Thank you for your support.
