Hey everyone,
The idea behind 'Catcher' was mainly inspired by Halloween. I wanted to create a character related to this theme, and I guess the witch ended up being the favorite.
I searched for quite a while for a reference to inspire the witch's outfit. I was looking for something triangular, perhaps in the kitchen or house, but nothing stuck. So I decided to move on with some studies and share them in this week's article.

After a few hours of searching for references, I came across a picture of a guy in a suit riding a bicycle. From that image, I imagined a witch on a bike, not touching the ground. I thought that would be interesting to look at, so I decided to move forward and design a teen character, something simple and casual, while still looking for an object or food to tie the whole concept together. I think I went to sleep that day feeling a bit tired and unsatisfied.

Right before bed, I thought, 'The object must be in the air. How many things float? A balloon?' At the same time that thought occurred, I was searching for something more 'mystical,' and then the dreamcatcher popped into my mind. With that in mind, I went to sleep. The next day, the dreamcatcher seemed like an even better idea because I could simply draw a 'hunter' or something related. In this case, it was a police officer.

For the execution, I just searched for police officers on bicycles on Pinterest and Google, very straightforward. I'm thinking of changing my approach soon, as I'm feeling a bit stuck lately. I think the process has become too predictable, and although effective, it's becoming mechanical. So what's next? I'm not sure, but I'll let you know soon.
