Painting Practice Process as Therapy
Added 2024-11-08 17:00:13 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I painted, so I did just a quick practice. I literally opened Pinterest and selected the very first references the platform showed me. Eventually, I ended up painting the sixth one and two other references after. While doing that, I was thinking about tools I could develop for you to use in Photoshop. The good thing is that I had a couple of ideas, but most of them involved another professional, like a programmer, for instance. So I went in a simpler direction by creating the three cube brushes I shared with you in the previous post.
For this painting process, I've explored the idea of adding more color values on top of my usual shading approach to capture the light reflection on the girl's skin in the reference. These practices felt like a chill art creation session since I didn't need to think too much but instead could play around with strokes while looking at a picture I already liked.
