The idea of "Pasion" was a consequence of my search for meaningful topics and a picture I saw of two dissected humans kissing. I believe the proper terms for these are anatomical specimens or plastinates.

From that point, I thought it would look powerful if two people stripped their clothes away, and then continued with their skin, muscles, and bones until there was nothing left, like something inside their bodies was attracted by a gravitational force, with the physicality of their forms acting as an impediment or obstacle.

I remembered that sometimes, when you feel so passionate while kissing someone, it’s as if your physical form stops you from fully going through the other person and becoming one with them. It’s a bit hard to explain with words, but hopefully, these frames helped shape the idea.

In terms of technique, I’m kind of drawn toward traditional rendering and textures, like watercolors. I love how traditional mediums can look so simple yet beautiful. I think I should make a special brush for this, as the one I’m currently using isn’t mine.

The thing I’ve pushed the most in these paintings is the texture. I wanted to emphasize how the flesh looks when it’s pushed or affected by another part of the body, like hands, for instance. This, in a way, makes the characters feel more realistic in their own way. I think this is something a bit difficult to imagine and draw, but perhaps I could develop it as an iconic aspect of my art.
