New Daily Doodle Page!
Added 2024-01-10 21:53:20 +0000 UTChey, pals! I've been having a lot of fun doodling recently, and I've been really inspired by some friends of mine starting pages for their daily doodles. So I thought I would start posting doodles over on threads (the instagram twitter clone thing). I generally really despise that app, hahahah, but I also would hate to make another instagram page for something that's really just for fun and to motivate me to doodle everyday to refine my 2d style! So, I'll be posting my little black and white pen doodles from work over there everyday! My main page on insta has become pretty consumed with sticker club projects and more refined thematic pieces that the algorithm likes more, so I think it'll be nice to have a place to publicly share these less refined pieces for fun! I have a real soft spot for this black and white comic style, so maybe I'll even consider compiling these doodles into a printed book someday! I love picking up books of indie comics and that sorta thing, idk could be fun !!!

I'm currently knocking out an intermediate grease pencil tutorial that I'm super excited about! So keep an eye out for that, it's gonna be a lot of fun!! I'm working out a bunch of fun tips and tricks for executing more complex projects in grease pencil! I'm also having a particularly fun time designing all the graphics for the video!!
I'm super excited for this technique for creating seamless textures in grease pencil like these!
It's not too difficult to pull off, and it's super satisfying to draw in once you have the file setup!
