Thanks Gray!

Neat! Who has an invite they can share?

Mel Riffe

There already is a discord server (server? I don’t know anything about discord or how it works), but I don’t run it. I try to drop a comment there when I can, but yeah, as you point out, I don’t have a lot of time for it right now. Hopefully that will change in the near future!

Trevor, at the risk of taxing your already overworked self, have you considered a Discord server for your community? Yes, this would be another input source (patreon, youtube). However it would/could also be a place that would allow more engagement, especially between community members. Of course a perfectly acceptable response is "No". I would venture some of your community members either are members of other Discord servers, and/or run/moderate other Discord servers. I have to believe there is a pool of knowledge (willing?) able to lend a hand. All the best...

Wow that didn’t take long for me to become a Patron ;-) I love the “writing exercise” view of 1000 Year Old Vampire, totally agree. It is art, a coffee table book, but a very specific audience who love writing. “Hello, my name is Douglas, and I’m an Over-Prepared GM” lol. I found Harn, especially the castles, to be so compelling, but I blame that system for my ‘reluctant” nature, as Harn World can be so overwhelming. Playing 5e as a player was fun for a while and then just got tiresome. I GM’d it for middle-schools kids as part of an afterschool program, but COVID put and end to that. I then discovered solo play and Ironsworn, but have become quite enamoured by Mythic, and bought the physical copy because of your first series and other solo YT channels. I’ve looked through all the Starforged beta stuff and am very impressed. I think you might be pleased. My hope is to record a play-through of it, trying to record straight as I frankly am too old to learn how to edit ... though I do know how to pause LOL. I’m challenging myself to keep it short and fast as that has been one of the most exciting aspect of your “show.”

That's a cool visual idea.

Heh, I waffled some thoughts out last night and evidently didn't press commit! I had a busy week and got to these a bit late - but great content as always, The further insights into your imagination and way of working / playing has my mind spinning with thoughts: 1) I love the way that seasons one and two are set in the same world that is now growing and we are discovering it with you. Even though you changed main character, game system and location, the connection creates a lovely thread of story in my mind. 2) You have sold me on the social interaction stuff that you have waxed so lyrical about recently - I am imagining a future season featuring a more urban (and urbane) character involved in the political machinations of his environment as well as the action. I don't think almost anyone could pull off such a thing solo, but with your particular skillset, you probably could. 3) If there is to be badgering / bugging (see Mel Riffe in this thread) then I shall be joining in as the chance to engage more directly eith your imagination would be something I would LOVE to do.

Posting this here rather than on the YT: Bugging you to host a game with us patrons. :-) How about a Runequest game? Call of Cthulhu would be cool, too. As well as Delta Green. EDIT: I've been the GM for my at-home group for a 3-yr campaign. A group member will be running the next game. I'm 1 GM of 3, with my online crew. We have 3 separate games running; I'm a player in 2. Paper-Minis: For my at-home game I used paper-minis for _my_ monsters & npcs will the players had plastic minis. I wanted the focus to be on the characters and not my monsters.

Catching up on these now, great to hear your thoughts and stuff, and excited for Ironsworn Finale!

Brilliant!

As a harn fan...Did you see the kickstarter for the harn reprints? (Background not rules)
