Any Preferences?

So... Loyalty is back to being Fertility. Not... sure what I was thinking on that one. doesn't even make sense. Obedience is the same as Loyalty... I wasn't even drunk! Weird...

On to the work... In general, I'm trying to finish mandatory things needed for release.  So, this week I added a tutorial on easy mode for first-time players. It quickly covers the basic game concepts. I might add an option in Settings to read more detailed game strategies, not sure yet. I've also been slowly adding more story options and dialog comments. (I wish I'd not coded ten comments for each option. I'm getting really bored of writing them...)

I removed the option to BUY ginseng and pearls, changing it into a random chance to find them (as I originally intended...) and added 2 more items. How it works is: Each area has a special item to find. The chance increases every time you search, eventually reaching 100% then resets. The 4 items are:

Devil Fruit in the Farm. Use as ANY vegetable in cooking or gift to women. 25 searches = 100%
Ginseng in the Forest. Recharge fully after orgasm. 25 searches = 100%
Pearl in the Pond. 1 guaranteed heart, even if already gave a gift today. 33 Searches = 100%
Crystal Skull in the Cave. Unlocks the 3 red options, once. 50 searches = 100%

The idea for the Crystal Skull originally was going to be 100% mind-control for one turn, but that seemed too OP, so this way will allow you to jump 4 spots in the dialog menu, in case you're close to getting the woman, but the NPCs are closing in fast. Also, since you can search multiple times per day, you could find multiple special items each month.

I want to add other ways to deal with NPCs zooming in and 'stealing' the women too quickly. So, I've added a poll to get your thoughts.

1. The first way was previously mentioned. (but, not coded yet) You can randomly discover 'gossip' about the NPCs and tell one woman, which greatly increases the chance she'll block his next sex-event.

2. Another idea was to have NPC levels. You could raise hearts and convince them to leave the woman to you. This would require some time to interact with NPCs, so would also slow down women progress...

3. Another possibility is to distract them (Help work on Sebastian's Motorcycle, or play gridball with Alex, get drunk with Shane, pretend to be sick with Harvey, have a literary debate with Elliot...) You'd only be able to use each distraction once. This would also use up the rest of the day, so a bigger loss of your time.

3. I also thought about ways to sabotage the NPCs. You could push them into the river, spill compost on them, offer them poisonous forage, cook poisoned meals... so they'd miss their chance to seduce the woman that day. Likely, this would be automatic. You would sabotage whichever NPC is in the location where you went to sleep.

5. I could also stagger the NPC start points based on the order you meet their women. This would give you an extra week for the second woman and two weeks for the third.

In this poll you can only choose one option. Sorry... I wanted it to be multiple, but I forgot to change the setting on creation, and can't fix it now that the poll has started. I might not have enough time anyways... but people's thoughts motivate me to focus in one direction...

Hmmm... A solution might be to include a travelling merchant, maybe weekly, who sells some randomly selected top-tier Items, Crops, and Specials... so the player can get a hard-to-find item at an upcharge... Also, I could add in code that forces seeds found to NOT be a crop already in your inventory. (unless you have ALL crops) Another issue is meals appear so late, they likely won't even be useful for hearts... so, I might make giving ANY meal to a women cause 100% loyalty for that day... and perhaps have a visible indicator when a man is planning to seduce any woman...

would it be possible to buy seeds and fertiliser at the shop? certain crops come round so seldom. also the seeds found in the field are often the same as the crop just harvested.
