Private Links & Dark Phoenix Cosplay Sneak Peek

Yo yo!

Below are 2 private links to 2 special videos:

The Missing Episode

The Mission Episode hails from 2013, it was never released because of lost footage due to a technical error. Shit haps.

Greater Creators Pilot

The Greater Creators Pilot is a brand new pilot we produced this year which may or may not become a part of a whole series for a new platform. We probably shouldn't be showing you this, lol. Feel free to give us a critique of the show in the comments ;)

Also attached are 2 photos from our recent Dark Phoenix body paint cosplay shoot. We are still working on compositing the final image (not shown here) and creating a limited edition poster that will be available on our merch site sometime late July/early August.

For my next cosplay, I plan to do The Stalk from the hit comic Saga later this month....so stay tuned kiddies.

It might be too late for feedback on the pilot? But here it is, after two viewings, anyways (maybe for future episodes)! Is there a time limit the videos need to be within? It feels like it goes a bit too fast at times. Maybe a bit more time added on the segment changes would help smooth that out and give the viewer a second to process all the info you're tossing at them. Especially, for people who may be coming in to the topic with zero previous knowledge. On that same note, the space brain stuff feels a little out of place; but maybe that's just me being relatively new to the channel. I guess it all depends on who the target audience of these videos will be. If it's your subscribers, maybe it's not a huge deal as they'll know who space brain (and I guess by extension, robot) is presumably. I feel like robot is pretty easy to grasp as a character off the bat, but space brain is a bit more far fetched; we need an explanation why there's a creepy floating brain in the classroom hahaha I love the idea though, and am so glad you guys got picked up! Can't wait to see the finished product!!

Hey CBG, did you end up doing that other cosplay shoot yet? I was looking forward to seeing the pics!

Dark Phoenix looks great!

Whoa! Just read this... The Stalk! Oh yeah. Sounds perfect.

Holy! Um, yeah! Definitely worth it. That's a stunning picture. Smokin'....

Beautifully done! Keep it up CBG19! P.S.- Stan Reed (below) I feel exactly the same, LOL

Beautiful, amazing, fantastic cosplay! :D

Well Damn .... CBG19 you've zapped me with the Phoenix force and turned me into a creeper... I'm so ashamed...

First, the Dark Phoenix cosplay...fantastic! Absolutely amazing! I've yet to see anything THAT good come anywhere close to it! I'd recommend doing it again! Maybe for an X-Men themed calendar sometime in the future? Just a thought. Second, The missing episode: loved it! It reminded me of when I first started watching you on YouTube (fun fact: a friend who saw me reading "A Storm of Swords" told me they were turning the books into an HBO series, & recommended that I watch some of your videos, & I've been a fan ever since)! You look so young (not that you look old now) and so full of that spunk, energy, & enthusiasm that's made me a loyal fan for so many years! Oddly enough, it reminded me a bit of your TED Talk! Lastly, the Great Creators pilot. Taking into account that it's not a finished video, with all the graphics & trimmings, I absolutely loved it! I really like the idea of a classroom setting, with students; there's always that one, really enthusiastic & well informed student (Space Brain in this case) looking to impress the teacher with their knowledge, as well as one student that's...well...Robot! Great premise. The classroom setting works really well, because you ARE teaching people about these brilliant creators! And, lets be honest, the audience wouldn't tune in if there didn't have an interested in learning about these amazing people. They ARE learning something! And Jack "King" Kirby was an excellent choice to start things off with! Case in point: I thought I was a Kirby guru, but I didn't know that he was a scout in the war! I also didn't know that Ben Grimm was a rock covered version of himself! So I learned something there! If I were voting to continue the series, as originally conceived, I would give 2 HUGE thumbs up & say "go for it!" In the words of Kevin Smith, "take ALL my money!" Because I'd love to see more! And there are soooo many creators out there that you could inform your audience about! Like Frank Herbert, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Jim Lee, John Romita Sr., Jim Starlin, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, and many more! Basically, I wish this were a show I could tune into every week! I'm even going to tell my son to watch it ("pearls before swine," as I often tell him)! Great job, all around! Keep up the amazing work! (sorry this was so long...I'm an aspiring writer, so I write a LOT! LOL!)

Maverick Opinions

I'm not 100% on board with the teacher/students dynamic. Condescending is too strong, but if just didn't feel quite right. That said, the essence of the video, shining a light on the King's creation of so many famous characters is excellent. If that was the pilot, I'd definitely watch the series!

Is it wrong or odd that I find your real eyes in the raw image to be more intense than the yellow of the print? >

Very nice job!
