Greater Creators - Deleted from YouTube!

Dear Patrons,

Our Show Greater Creators that we produced for Verizon in late 2016 and released in early 2017 was on 'Verizon Go90' for over a year before it came to YouTube on the 'Go90 Saga' YouTube channel for about 6 months or less.  However, as of July 31st, Go90 has gone out of business and our videos have been deleted.

"Verizonโ€™s Go90 free, ad-supported mobile video service โ€” launched nearly three years ago โ€” will cease on July 31. The Go90 app, stocked with a mix of short-form original entertainment, live sports, and licensed TV shows, was never able to attract any kind of sizable audience and as a result struggled to book advertising dollars. Verizon had invested hundreds of millions on technology and content for Go90. "

In case you don't know this show was a nightmare for us to produce. The 'go90 platform' where they originally aired in early 2017 was unfortunately 'US only' and many of our viewers were unable to watch our labor of love that we suffered greatly to create.

Clocking in at nearly 3 hours of content, this show was very difficult to produce. We encountered many struggles such as firing our post production team, last minute studio interference, and angry executives who requested bizarre changes and seemed to not understand who their audience was.

When we originally started the show contract in early 2016 we did not know what go90 was and only knew the content would air on one of two new platforms. This would be our first time creating a show with a real budget and off of YouTube and we wanted that experience to learn from. Turns out, by Aug 2016, the Go90 Platform was called, "a huge dud" by Business insiders and new reports say it may be closed down soon. Perhaps Verizon though they could create their own YouTube competitor. I don't blame them as it was not as apparent to anyone what was happening back in 2014-2015 in terms of what makes YouTube content popular.

This means the future of these videos is uncertain considering that they are owned by Verizon/Machinima.

We have privately uploaded them to Vimeo so that our patrons can see them.

***UPDATE: Most of these videos are down as of now, we will try to figure out a place to re-upload them soon****

I am glad I got to see them all before they got taken down. Loved the content even if it was a pain for you to make them.

Isn't there a Ray Harryhausen episode too?

I hate to say it, but I downloaded/borrowed the entire greator creators on pirates bay torrent site ๐Ÿ˜€ I was watching a few times a day for months. Worth watching, these videos are off the chain. Pretty Amazing.

such a great show i hope they are not lost in time

This was a great series. The lackluster corporate moves indeed were unfortunate, but the love for the content from your team showed. These deserve to live on and glad they do!

Thanks! Seems most links are dead now...I will be patient then!

That f'n sucks. edit: I mean it sounds like a bad circumstance at least. I'm glad though that they're still going to be up because I might have missed a few.

SWEET! I always wanted to see these but the geoblocking prevented me. Imagine if they hadn't geolocked

This series was pretty fantastic. I learned so much about the artists that produced a lot of my favorite movies and art work. I especially loved the "Kubrick trilogy". I do hope that you'll get to do more of this type of content, talking about what you really love and having the freedom and $$ and time to produce it the way you want! Much love!
