I totally mistook it for a 'The Stand' reference. (But the important thing is I knew a reference was there?) I am sad that Guy Ritchie put his foot in this poo poo pile. To my mind, his track record prior to this was almost flawless. Loved Lock Stock, Snatch, Rocknrolla, I even thought the Man From U.N.C.L.E. was masterfully done even though it was an unnecessary reboot of an IP I knew nothing about and gave no shits about.

2017-05-23 22:21:54 +0000 UTCI grew up on Excalibur and the Sean Connery version of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Excalibur's the gold standard so far--the whole theme of the King's heart and health tied to the land's health and heart, the breath of the Dragon, the green tint to Excalibur. Sure there were anachronisms, but the characters--Lancelot, Arthur, Merlin. They are the best!
