I haven't heard of them corresponding with each other but the relationship of spice to the future civilization of Dune made me think of Terence McKenna's idea about homosapien consciousness evolving from the use of psychedelics. Do you think this parallel is accidental or deliberate?

Hey cbg, after reading Dune I wanted to tell everyone I knew to read it since it's so amazing. This included my brother who I told on multiple occasions to get the book rather than buy it on audio. No matter what I tried to do he still got the audio book. My question is, what do you lose when listen to dune or any alchemical book rather than read it? You are such an inspiration fr me and i cant thank you enough, thanks you!
