I was glad you covered this topic. I'm hoping fox scraps the dark Phoenix film and let's Disney give x men a soft reboot into x men and actually give us accurately portrayed mutants. We shall see. Please do review on justice league. Happy supporting you. Happy Thanksgiving :)

i recall your doing a matrix review, which i adore, i have found similariteis in the fighting sequence of holy mountain to that of neo and morpheus in the matrix 1, i thought ghost in the shell played a part in the fight sequence but not a direct translation thereof, it makes me question the innovativeness of the wachowskis, if they directly paid respect to holy mountain by plaigirising , but im not going against them, just questioning the mainstream depiction of their influences, and i dont consider ghost in the shell to be one of them, unless its a macro-philosophy over-arching the universe of the matrix, but i wouldnt limit it, there is in my opinion and open endedness left from the 3rd matrix, i have come across people who consider the sequels to not be part of the movie, but i also consider them to be narrow minded, i would question their loyalty or fandom in the first, and whether they truly explored the first, my cousin realised so much from the first that i totally missed, like when morpheus introduces neo to the post-apocalyptic world and mentions zion, but it was just one line, and never re-introduced directly to the audience, i kind of just see neo morpheus and the team interaction, zion was never filmed, and she picked up on it, i was amazed, and i guess if she was 2 out of 10 that did, the 2 realised the sequels had meaning....i guess there is more but i typed spontaneously

i say this knowing the last attempt at watching a movie was promethues 2 and i havent completed it, it was either to cringy or too much expectation....i watched promethues 1 considering that it might be a greek mythos movie and forgot about that after seeing the scenery of earth and wondering about earth...so i guess im saying if it is a surprise, and the characters have a mystery about them from the start, its more to go on, than do this objective, rush to this objective

the notion of impact on culture shift with storm and black panther, to create an identity for a new wave of the age demographic growing up and perhaps the associations thereof, its a shallow identification, based purely on aesthetics, knowing that there is depth to the characters, its easy to capitalize on, what would be the next apex for the characters, something that is not in the comics, because rehashing the comics, downplays the people who went through the comics, they should add trinquets of new info about the characters not found in the comics (unless this is the bryan singer way of things - but i felt he kinda downplayed the characters instead of introduce something new or explored something more in depth), i guess i would like to see more innovation with the narrative and not just a sci-fi blockbuster with silly mistakes and rushed narrative...

A couple years ago, it would have been great. But Fox stumbled into greatness with Deadpool... Disney never would have done that.

I like how 20th Century Fox got X-Men right in the early 90s with the Saturday morning cartoon, but with not with they're films.

I could be ok with -pieces- of Fox entertainment sold off, with Xmen and FF of course going to Marvel [i know, Disney]. But otherwise, I think it would be fair for the rest to spread out among the rest of hollywood. Will that happen, well.. I just put that thought out in the universe.

Can't wait for the Thor review. I've been a big softie for Thor and Loki and even loved their average first two Thor films but now... OMG it was just so goooood! I love these characters so much!! And Hela... OMG. Fuck us Aussies are awesome ;)

Fox has the original Star Wars too. This all would be great. I mean I don't see how it would be a Monopoly considering all the Marvel characters were conceived of as existing in the same Universe. I don't know if it's just been shit upon so many times that X-Men feels used up to me. That's why I was really excited about the Inhumans...until Marvel tried to to do it on the cheap. In truth I just wish Fox would collapse and disappear forever. Even though Manu Bennet is old he would be a beastly Wolverine.
