Hey girl, I just wanted to say I was thinking about your talk at Patrecon this past June, I thanked you for it in the john breifly, but it really made an impression on me. You were a little freaked out at first and then you just said fuck it and sat down and talked about your experience, not worrying what came out or how professional you sounded and Yatayata and it ended up being the most useful and idea inspiring (and least dry). I thought of it/you again when reading this article. Ha! Sorry i just have to point out that the one guy I gave a shout out to for being the only male having done a Fundamental Friday piece wrote back. "Glad you liked it!" When I pointedly did not say that I liked it because, well, I didn't. It was probably the weakest piece by far, not at all on the same level as the others. It was like a high school senior's book report on War Of Art pulled out of your ass the night before. I also found his "affirmations" bs to be utterly vapid and useless, because well, he just thought: "what I have to say is great! I don't need to work for it." Which is why you women are doing all this good work to "prove yourselves" and that wretched article is the most the story grid men have to give. Now how can I roll that kindly into what I'm saying without sounding like an a-hole? Sorry. I needed to vent. I am just astounded by the confidence gap sometimes.
