Early Access: Mystic Monday #1 Ghosts

Comments

Love this subject so much! I've always been interested in ghosts and wondering how they end up trapped between planes. My husband died last year and all kinds of weird things started happening around not only my house, but all his best friends. A few weeks ago one of his friends informed me he had been studying how to haunt people, so now I definitely believe you can hang around if you really want to.

Watching this video has brought back some repressed childhood memories. I remember as a child laying in bed and feeling the sensation of a hand pressing down on the top of my head. I also remember being afraid of the 'tickle witch' I really hope that was only my imagination but I doubt it.

You don't have to believe in spirits or follow a religion to still have an interest in how and what other people think and feel. If anything, I think listening to people discuss alternative topics to your everyday, gives heaps more background into our history, our human stories, movies, relationships and culture. I studied anthropology so I love all this stuff without necessarily "believing" in spirits. I'm glad to be able to share this YouTube format with friends as some are still a bit behind on the Twitch format. Adding pictures helps and I love the over the top intro. It's hilarious!

As far as the shows quality, its very very good. I'm glad to be a patron. Otherwise I wouldn't be one. CBG is always captivating and interesting no matter what the show would be about. Just because I'm atheist doesn't mean I don't enjoy supernatural ideas, books, movies, and discussions. I just consider it all fiction. CBG puts her all into her shows. The Dune Club was fascinating because of CBG hosting.

Yeah, I have to agree this isn't my favorite Team19 content... I did really love the Bead Tutorial/ BvS deconstruction though.

Speaking of cemeteries. I had a friend who was a plumber in Laredo, TX back in the 70s. His father's company was hired to dig the holes for the underground tanks of a gas station in downtown Laredo. Now this is an old town, founded in 1755. Well they had the backhoes out and were digging when they hit a layer of sediment that looked odd. My friend, being the youngest, got the job of going down in the hole and checking it out. He described seeing row after row of what appeared to be cigar boxes, that is small flat rectangles. H reached out and pulled at one and sure enough there was a skull. They were digging in an area that had been a cemetery in the 1800s that everyone had forgotten about. The tombstones were relocated but the bodies were still there.

I really love how you stop to explain certain terms to the occult newbies, that's really sweet of you. I feel like you should spend more time on stories in this format, and put the explanation stuff in between, like ice-cream sandwiches. Maybe ask for short email write-ins about people's experiences with the topic? Could make your flow more even and save you some of the sitting and waiting on twitch replies. Also, that's not to say don't respond to twitch, but maybe hold the in-chat story time to the end? The south is super spooky. I live in Florida, went to college in St. Augustine... I'm more inclined to see a "haunting" as a place-memory than somebody's actual spirit still lurking around. Anyway, slightly separate note... Have you ever listened to Gordon White's podcast, "Rune Soup"? I feel like it's right up your alley.

Same. I have no interest in Mystic Monday topics at all. This is just a part of this channel that I will ignore.

Being atheist I dont believe in anything supernatural. That naturally applies to ghosts, but I do love the band Ghost.

it's badass tho

Intro feels a bit too long :P
