I'm not sure if my memory is correct on this but back in Watchmen Club did we talk about how Magic/ Alan Moore involves communication, symbolism and words as spells?
The idea that art and language is powerful magic that can be used for good or evil is really fun. I'm not sure if this idea comes from past classes or where I picked it up though!
It's kind of true though, all communication (visual, oratory and written) can compel people to make actions and those actions change the world.
Can you talk more on this idea?

I have a controversial question you could avoid if you want. Would you say you used the "Penetrate Minds" strategy on the Nerdist fiasco? You really didn't say anything super offensive, but they got so butt hurt about it that it really escalated unnecessarily. I don't think you were gatekeeping but this came to mind when I read this chapter.

Are you naturally a good communicator or is it more of a skill that you learned?

On chapter 30: The reversal reminds me of something one encounters every day in work. Can we talk about how infuriating corpspeak is? That is communication by corporation, carefully written by committee to spin things positive, say nothing negative and actually say nothing of meaning really.
On a lighter note for chapter 31: while I'm sure you see this all the time in a business context, can we talk about how Azula used this tactic to overthrow the government in Ba Sing Se?
