Thanks for another great book club Danika I always learn so much! There were a lot of great lessons throughout and I do feel that now is the perfect time for it. With the final chapter I can understand why terror is used against powerful people to disturb their balance... but why do some powerful classes occasionally like to use terror against their own people? Do you think keeping people in a state of fear of your power over them is actually a bad idea in the long-term? I feel like constant fear would stir up revolts and create more enemies eventually? And finally, which strategy from anywhere in the whole book, do you think you have NOT used much in your life but could work well for your everyday life?

Thanks Danika for all the time and effort you put into producing another amazing book club. Can’t believe that’s 4 in the bag now! Killing it! Also thanks for bringing this ragtag group of mofos together. Freakin love you all. We’ve talked before about some of your favorite strategies in the book, but I was wondering if there are any of the strategies that you find less helpful in general or for you personally? I remember us discussing the Forcing Strategies chapter seeming like filler.

I really liked the reversal for the passive aggression strategy(Aggressive passivity, duh!). Has there ever been a time when you used aggressive passivity to combat passive aggressiveness? Also, for a good chunk of my life I was clinically depressed but a few years ago I managed to flip it and focus on self improvement over self loathing. The book clubs and other twitch streams have been a huge help for me to stay on that path. Just wanted to say thanks and that Charlie Drama has your back 100%!

On passive-aggressiveness, aka Karen on a "good day". First, I wouldn't call non-violent protest passive aggresive (more like aggressive passiveness, the reversal). Though I am sure you have tons of examples of passive-aggressive tactics in the business. But ultimately, aren't actual passive-aggressive strategies counterproductive? On terrorism: no mention of the King David Hotel bombing, surprised it was omitted. But while I understand the overall reasoning of putting dirty *tactics* toward the end, I don't really understand why you would end the book on the worst strategies. Don't you think this book would have been greatly improved by a recapitulation chapter that ties the greater themes together and present a clear synthesis of the work? In its state, it is more of a fluffed out encyclopedia that could have been one third as long for no loss of quality.
