2020-10-18 18:24:23 +0000 UTCOK, I guess this will be question space. I gotta catch up before the stream ( halfway there), but why is it every time there's Burke Dennings I think about Kat Dennings? EDIT: OK, caught up. So far, from memory the film is accurate to the book, except of course, less detail on the side characters. I'm old enough to feel like it is representative of a time not so long ago, that feels very familiar. Satanism related horror became more of a thing in the late 60s and 70s (e.g. in the late Hammer vampire films, vampires became devil worshippers when before they were just vampires with no religious rites of their own). While there is some talk of Black Mass, here Blatty goes for a different demon, Pazuzu. What are your thoughts on that choice, in contrast to similarly devil/demon themed horror of the time?
