I love this hidden cove just on the other side of Point Dume in Malibu. This location is actually featured in Planet of the Apes where the old human cave is at the end. It's a little bit of a hike over some rocks to get to the cove, but it's well worth the effort.
The waves that day were absolutely INSANE. The biggest I've ever seen them. Had to go next door to Zuma beach where the waves were a bit smaller and there was a lifeguard to feel safe enough to get wet. The undertow was pretty intense so I only went in waste high and dunked my self a few times. It was VERY COLD hahaha
