Added 2022-11-12 11:28:35 +0000 UTCSry for the delay these days. I actually got into a bit of trouble recently. Just a few days ago, I recieved a mail from my college stating that I had been reported for conducting mal-practice during the exams and I was the summoned to the enquiry meeting scheduled Today to present explaination. There was no other information given.
Now, the first thing I wondered was, which one?
See, throughout the examinations, I had cheated through 7-8 different ways. I had used my phone, cheat-sheets, given another person's exam, had another person give one of my exams, and so on. So, I was left wondering, wondering which malpractice did I get reported for? The mofos didn't provide any further explanation, even after I repeatedly asked for it!
So, I asked around and prepared sorts of explanation for each and every 'mal-practice' I committed which was quite a downer. And when I finally went to the meeting today, it turned out to be about an online exam I'd taken in past. Instead of writing by hand, I'd used a software to convert text to handwriting and submitted since my typing speed is faster my handwriting speed. Not the first time I did it and I've gotten away with it with it before. But this time, the handwriting I chose was too perfect and the professor was also a computer science engineer so he caught me.
Now they're making a big issue out of it, fining me, and even threatening to check my other assignments and exams which I'd submitted online, making me infinitely exasperated. So this is the reason for the delays. I'll update you guys on what happens next. New chapter coming in a few hours.

I have never understood the parent mentality of a "proper job" gives "stability" really?! I mean shouldn't the job that gives you both a stable lifestyle AND enjoyment be the ultimate goal in life? As long as you can do what you want AND get paid enough to live then why get in your way. I just don't get it.

My parents are both teachers with high education and in their circle, simply writing fantasy novels without high education can atmost be considered a side profession. I'm currently doing computer engineering, and I simply picked it up because it was the trend. At that time I was only interested in reading and didn't know about my writing talent. With this brain of mine which has been trained by two teachers from birth, I could have done well in CS engineering but now I've simply lost interest since I enjoy reading and writing more. It's just one year left for graduation so I'm thinking that I might as well take the degree instead of quiting. After this I'll pursue writing wholeheartedly (though my parents want me to get a job and do writing as a side hustle, even though I can earn more through writing)

2022-11-14 23:28:44 +0000 UTCIm Sorry brother but what are you trying to accomplish? You are doing pretty decent on your writing so if you can't pass college without cheating I'd just quit College and continue to pursue writing which you are good at. I don't know what country you are in or what kind of pressures you might have to finish college but what value will the degree be if you don't know the subject matter well?
