Any insight on the decision to include “fool” the name of the protagonist, who is supposed to be pivotal to the salvation of the universe?

I am not sure if any casting has been announced for Taika's film yet but am curious who you would love to see cast as John Difool?

So far we've seen the Bergs and the big fuzzy troll looking dudes. Do they come from different planets? Are there a lot of different aliens in the Jodoverse?

I am really enjoying reading this again. I forgot how funny it was, especially wolfhead!

I loved when the incal divided him into four and it was air for his head (intellect), water for his chest (emotions), fire for his loins (impulsive and passionate) and then earth for his legs (grounded and practical). It felt so classic to have those four components! I know we have Tarot with air/ swords, cups/ water, wands/ fire and pentacles/ earth and our astrological signs too. Where do these elemental attributes actually come from originally and why do you think they're so ingrained in our human psyche?

So this came out in 1980, same year as La Foire aux Immortels, the first graphic novel of the Nikopol trilogy by Enki Bilal and I could sense some parralels but I don't have that book with me to do a full comparison. Still you have that very early future 80s feel to it but very much still somewhat of a future 70s feel, but also a very European future. What are your thoughts? Also, the initial setting is one of those very vertical future metropolis, possibly inspired by the film Metropolis. Can you talk about the implications and symbolism of those vertical giant cities?

I feel whatever perspectives people express... they can all stimulate thought on important subjects.
