Loosely speaking I am pretty new to observing the possible symbolism in different types of art. It really can be fascinating tho. Seems like a lot of it in the enlightenment art might be warnings of problematic approaches to what I suppose might be referred to as "the heroes journey".

I figure that as ones perspective changes more towards theology, enlightenment, symbolism.... This sort of perspective of the esoteric warrior **shrug**. I feel like this sort of a approximation of a profile of a reader might have been the target demographic. Tho a lot of perspective variables are still to be contended with inside of that fluctuating definition of a group of people. Thus this reply may not be applicable in this situation.

So... the final two books... felt like they did not go anywhere for a bit. Like Jodo was stretching the page count for contractual reasons or something. We end somewhat in a Kubrick 2001 way, we got a golden patriarchal god (for all the androgynous discussions, this is somewhat of a disappointment and post pagan classical Christian vision of a creator)... Not quite a deus ex machina given the final resolution (restarting the cycle at the fall), but I don't quite feel satisfied. To be noted, Solune becomes a 2 person androgyne for a bit, with the male half being white and the female half being black, the proper association for the yin yang. In the end, was it all but a figment of the imagination of a man who's about to die as his life flashes before his eyes?
