Antibiotics have the unfortunate tendency of wiping out all the good bacteria the body needs for defense against illnesses and proper digestion and stuff. Be sure to take a good friendly bacteria probiotic to restore that. I take Dr. Berg's brand. It makes me happy.

Awww... I feel you! I inherited narrow ear canals from my Dad... we've both been plagued with ear infections. Take good care &amp; be well... Aloha!

When I was a toddler, my parents took me in a camper through Europe. I got a terrible ear infection. I was squalling non-stop when they settled for the night in a town called Fontainebleau where Napoleon once stayed according to the villagers. My folks weren't French-speakers but knew enough from Spanish and from movies to communicate "sick American baby". An honest-to-goodness country doctor was summoned and he saw to the "malade bebe Amercain" by poking a hot needle through my eardrum. It was so inflamed with pus that the 'POP' was audible and a torrent of sludge burst forth soaking the pillow. I guess he administered antibiotics until the fever went away but it put an end to the vacation because my folks never made Italy. Family story I've always been told.
