Hiatus, Restruction and some kind of Goodbye...

My Dearest,

I hope this message finds you well, though I must admit it may not contain the uplifting news I would prefer to share. I kindly ask you to take a moment to read my message, as it's important to explain the decisions I've made.

  1. My Patreon will be taking another break, starting from September 1, 2023, until January 1, 2024.
  2. In January 2024, I plan to restructure my Patreon into a "$1 tier tip jar" without rewards.

These decisions weren't easy to make, but they have become necessary for my well-being.

Firstly, by the end of this year, I'll be completing my diploma, and I want to minimize distractions and stress during this period.

Secondly, my main reason is the exhaustion, burnout, and loneliness I've been feeling as an artist. My art no longer brings me joy; it's become more of an obligation, driven by the thought that I "HAVE to draw something" just to fulfill commitments, even if it doesn't make me happy. This lack of motivation reflects in my work, which isn't fair to you, considering the support you've given me. It's also taking a toll on my mental health. Creating because I "MUST" is different from creating because I'm genuinely inspired.

I've realized I've been investing an excessive amount of time in creating NSFW art, more than I dedicate to my main job as a tattoo artist. Unfortunately, the financial return from NSFW art doesn't justify the effort. I can't sustain myself on this alone. Thus, I need to shift my focus back to my primary job to avoid burnout. Don't worry; I won't disappear. I believe I'll find joy in my art again when I can create what I truly want without the pressure of rewards.

To that end, I've decided to transform my Patreon into a "$1 tier tip jar" without tier-based rewards. This way, people can support me if they wish, whether it's for my original art or fanart related to specific fandoms. If someone chooses not to support, that's perfectly fine; I'll still create. My priority will be rediscovering the joy in my craft.

I'll continue to use Patreon for important updates, news, and perhaps even some polls, but I won't exclusively create art for Patreon, at least not in the near future.

I hope you can understand the difficult decisions I'm making. I know many of you may choose to leave, and I respect that. I'm incredibly grateful for the support you've provided. For those who decide to stay, please adjust your donation to $1. I'll return from my hiatus on January 1, 2024, with no rewards offered.

Also, because I haven't been very productive in August due to job and personal matters, I'll make it up to you by uploading a few artworks as early access in September while I'm already on hiatus. I hope this compensates for the temporary break.

I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all your help and support. Every one of you means a lot to me. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me; I'll be happy to respond.

I love you all. Thank you very much for everything!

Much love to you, never fun to create because you have to rather than want to. Taking that pressure off should hopefully help!
