This is the Silver Gauntlet:
"Sometimes, the common people must take arms to fight against forces of darkness. Werewolves hunt in the night. Vampires stalk in the shadows. Fey substitute family members.
This gauntlet was made to give mortals a fighting chance against these supernatural beings. It was forged by a competent smith, but only enchanted through the years as scraps of magic and rituals paired with sacrifices were gathered to finish it.".
