Hey folks. How's it going? Long time; no speak.

I am now settled in a new place. It's not too bad (in some ways I like it even more than the last place I lived). Entirely possible that I have moved in opposite a drug-dealer though but I guess nothing is perfect. [That makes it sound like I'm living under a bridge, doesn't it? I'm not.] There's just a rather strange person living across the street that seems to be nocturnal, has all sorts of random people show up at his house at all hours, never to be seen again... and I'm pretty sure he rummaged through my bin when I first moved in to do a background check on me. But other than that - Everything's great! haha.

Anywho - I'm still in the process of finalising some (hopefully ongoing and full-time) editing work with another channel in the wowtube space. I'm being a bit superstitious about that atm so I won't say who. I'd rather wait until I'm actually doing the work before talking about it officially - although I'd also rather just be more of a 'bass guitarist' if that makes sense. I'm not built to be a frontman. Too much hassle comes with the territory. Much better to be a bass guitarist: Essential to the music but no one's paying any attention to you (except for other bass guitarists).

However; stepping on the toes of the thing I literally just said - I'm writing a book. lol. Basically, I think I just needed to prove to myself that I COULD write (Or at least attempt to do that). I spent several years adapting other peoples work not to mention the fact that I maybe got a little bit mean towards certain authors and Blizzard writers as well (in my jokes) at times. So that's a thing. I've only written just over 11k words / 32 pages thus far. Probably about halfway through the first act / 10-15% of the whole book but I'm also kinda writing it by the 'seat of my pants' so I don't have everything figured out yet. First time I've ever tried to write a novel so I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm determined to not let a bunch of 12 year olds on TikTok talk me out of even trying through some weird arbitrary rules. You know - like "Speculative Fiction Novels have to be over 100k words and you must never use any adverbs". "All characters must be likeable" and "All characters and locations must be described in painstaking detail" (because apparently no one has a bloody imagination anymore).

I have attached a few screenshots of the first few pages of a prologue and another page midway through Chapter One anyway. Subject to change because I haven't even finished writing a first draft yet lol. Figured I'd share it with you guys for no other reason than just to say thanks, I guess. Funnily enough; I'm weirdly nervous. lol. There was a safety in adapting other peoples stories, I guess.

Cheers anyway!

See - of all the authors, I didn't think Christie was too bad with her prose. I defo felt like Knaak repeated himself way more. Saying that - I'm currently reading The Great When by Alan Moore and I feel like he's alternating between character driven sections that are hilarious and advance the plot... and then just several pages of boring nonsense describing walking through London streets.
