"One" (Metallica) Solo Transcription & Lesson/Analysis
Added 2024-10-31 17:40:48 +0000 UTCWhile it may be a meme to joke about Kirk Hammett, it's easy to forget that the guy was responsible for some of the coolest guitar playing of the 80s and 90s. Today we're gonna be taking a look at perhaps the most famous Metallica solo of all time: One!
Mostly recognized for its iconic tapping licks, the solo to One is actually deceptively tricky to play accurately (no thanks to the break-neck tempo) and features some ridiculously fiddly septuplet runs and blister-inducing unison bends.
This is a fantastic challenge for intermediate guitarists and should be a part of every guitarist's repertoire!

Im pretty sure that in video clip Kirk use edge of pick (or at least it looks that way) during tapping section and thats why this gossip of tapping with pick came from.
