This often the fear of peopl who work in hotels/motels, be it rural or urban as a former hospitality manager, at a property I worked third shift our hotel was different in the respect the elevator from the entrance lobby did not go to guest rooms you only could go to the main lobby and switch to the guest elevator one late night we had a guest mugged in the elevator,she was smart enough to scream for help as the doors open alerting us at the front desk as she got off the doors closed the only place he could go was the administrative floor there is a stairwell thst Leeds outside only unless you had a room key police searched the floor concluded he left through that stairwell I can’t even begin the problem had he made it to a guest room floor.the guest was ok punched in the face to get her purse she and I spent the next half hour canceling credit cards police gave her a report to use to board her plane still not the most entertaining night I had.
