Interesting. I was annoyed at Ross in E19 and thought he was being too hard on Rachel. Though I think it was probably because of his feelings for her and that he cares so much so when she "hurts" him it hurts even more. Still thought he overreacted. And although he could not have predicted that Barry would come walking through the door and say what he said, he's been in love with Rachel FOR YEARS and still hasn't told her, even after she came back into their lives in the pilot (yeah he did make that comment in the pilot but it wasn't an "I am madly in love you" type of comment). Barry is the worst! Also I'm not usually someone who judges people on their looks but I can't for the life of me understand how a man like that gets two gorgeous women like Rachel and Mindy. And I just recently understood the sink joke. Basically it's a convenient place to spit semen after performing oral sex 🤣 Gotta be one of the dirtiest jokes in the entire series! Fun facts: In case you didn't get it, Phoebe's description of a movie that had "guns, bombs and buses going really fast" is Speed (that came out the year before). I don't know if you've seen it but if not, I recommend. And while Joey was obviously mistaking Hugh Grant for Lou Grant, there was actually a TV show called Lou Grant that aired from 1977-1982. As to what Hugh Grant movie they saw I don't know. This episode aired on March 9th 1995 and there was no movie with him in the theatres at that time. I don't think there are any movies prior to 1995 with him "frolicking". I don't know if you've seen Dirty Dancing but Jennifer Grey, the actress who plays Mindy, played the female lead "Baby" opposite Patrick Swayze. Remember in E2 when Rachel tells Mindy that she hopes her and Barry's future children will have Mindy's old nose and his old hairline? Jennifer Grey famously had a nose job (as did Jennifer Aniston). Also, the kid who's in for a check-up with Barry is the same actor from E2. Angela Visser, who plays the blonde in the apartment Joey and Chandler go to, was Miss Holland in 1988 and Miss Universe in 1989. She also appeared in Baywatch. The brunette girl is wearing a white and blue shirt which looks similar to the one Rachel wore in the poker game episode. Since you just watched it: Larry Hankin who plays Mr. Heckles played the doughnut eating policeman on the phone with Kevin's mum in the first Home Alone. Chandler says that he went to boarding school with 400 boys. Prior to moving to LA at the age of 15 to live with his father, Matthew Perry lived with his mother in Ottawa, Canada for several years, during which time he actually did briefly attend a boarding school with approximately 400 boys at the timene. I think Mr. Peanut & Mr. Salty are types of pretzels. And the answer to Ross' crossword "heating device; 5 letters" is most likely stove.
