2025-02-12 16:39:02 +0000 UTCThere was an episode earlier this season where Phoebe was playing outside the coffee shop and her half brother ran around the corner and asked her if he’d dropped a condom in her guitar case. Of course they had no idea who each other was then. Wow, I never put it together before that the main friends are all wearing something green at Rachel’s party because it’s her last name. I bet you’re right! Good connection to make. Poor Rach. I really like that friendship moment between her and Chandler in the hallway, how he listens and comforts her then does that hug-pass over to Ross. It’s very touching. These episodes are great! I love that you notice how handsome Matthew Perry was. ❤️

I believe he got the role he did because he was the only person in the background characters who knew how to make coffee. Sadly his actor died a few years ago from prostste cancer.

2025-02-11 21:39:40 +0000 UTCI understand your reasoning in the situation with Joey and Rachel's mother, although it is very clear that they are in different contexts, this idea of similar situations having different weights according to the character involved in the action is repeated a lot throughout the series. Personally, I believe that the character who suffers most from this imbalance is Ross, because despite making mistakes, sometimes it gives the impression that his mistakes are more serious than those of others, and this is not always the case, especially in similar situations.

2025-02-11 18:17:08 +0000 UTCI think the kiss from season 1 with Ross and Chandler's mom wasn't really about the kiss at all... it was about Chandler's mom not acting like his mom, Ross knowing how that made him feel, and still enabling it. Chandler saw it as a betrayal. With this one... Rachel and her mom have a great relationship, so there's nothing beyond it just being a distraction. No betrayal or baggage attached.

2025-02-11 17:19:20 +0000 UTCI like the party episode. Phoebe smuggling Gunther out was really what put Gunther on the map for him being a good recurring supporting player. That, and when he comes dancing through the scene of the guys’ party and Monica yells out all indignant “Gunther!” I mean—it’s really him and the Gellar parents that form the backbone of supporting cast members but they’re all really funny so it’s fun whenever they show up.
