Congrats on the move!! Hope it went well 🤍 Yes I’m thinking I might watch some of the other lampoon ones, I did enjoy myself a lot with this 😂 I might get some flack for this but I don’t find SNL funny at all ahaha it’s very American humor imo OH LMAO what’s the point of pledging an Alliegiance if you’re already a citizen tho Awww I haven’t seen any of those films!! I’ll have to look them up Merry Christmas !! 🎄

What a nice surprise. I just moved recently so I've been out of the loop and haven't had a chance to watch any content lately. Definitely had to watch this, though. This is actually the 3rd film in the "Vacation" franchise. The first one is National Lampoon's Vacation, then European Vacation, then Christmas Vacation, then Vegas Vacation. They all have Chevy Chase and the Griswold family. National Lampoon is a comedy magazine and company, so there are several movies that are named "National Lampoon's..." etc. Chevy Chase was one of the original cast members on Saturday Night Live, and unfortunately yes he is a huge asshole in real life. I believe he got into a fist fight with Bill Murray on SNL and nobody really likes working with him. He is great in this series, though. He peaked in the 80s. Also Aunt Bethany was reciting the Pledge of Alliegiance at dinner instead of a normal blessing since she was old and confused. The Pledge is this stupid and creepy thing we have to say every morning in school. I did it when I was in school and they still do it today. It's like something from a cult. America is really weird sometimes. That is why Eddie stood up and put his hand over his heart. That is what we have to do in school. She was singing the actual national anthem at the end of the film. Anyway, this is definitely a christmas classic and is one of 3 christmas movies I have to watch every year. Number 1 is The Muppet Christmas Carol, my absolute favorite christmas movie and the best version of A Christmas Carol ever made. Number 2 is A Christmas Story. Can't have Christmas without watching A Christmas Story. Number 3 is Christmas Vacation. Great reaction. Merry Christmas!
