Awww thank you Xian for sharing that personal story of yours โบ๏ธ Appreciate it much. โฅ๏ธ Indeed there's really something in christmas that makes us feel nostalgic. Haha. I received only a few christmas presents when I was a kid and the most memorable one was the shoebox from Samaritan's purse through their operation christmas child project. I was surprised how they could fit in lots of surprises inside a shoebox- blueberry & strawberry flavored gums, christmas peppermint candies, stickers and a T.Y.- WWJD teddy bear plush! When I was a kid, I was hopeful & happy to receive such material gifts but now that I am an adults already, aside from more money to spend for the holiday ๐ I wish for the intangible things- peace of mind, calmness of spirit, safety from harm and warm love from those I love. True enough, we can't turn back time or go back to those times that were extra special, but what's important is that we've enjoyed every moment shared with our loved ones- a beautiful, blissful memory that's nice to reminisce about every once in a while. Yes, eventually you'll get there, Your time will come, You'll have your own beautiful family. ๐ But for the meantime, while you still don't have it, please continue to be our Virtual boyfriend for this season. ๐

2022-08-31 12:07:47 +0000 UTCsome people find it stressful thinking all the parties to attend and gift to give and other stuffs to attend to. hmmm, there are instances that I stare at the old Christmas we had since we were still kids and it looks so tall, reminiscing the old days and me as a kid back then are so excited with all the presents I might receive, it was jubilant. Those were the days when we are still complete as a family. awwww. There's a pinch of sadness, we can't go back and we need to accept that we'll part ways and grow, eventually, will have our own family.

Of course, the much awaited 13th month pay hahaha. While Christmas traditions actually have pagan origins, the customs associated with the season that was repurposed to remember the birth of Lord Jesus appeal not only to kids but for adults as well. I believe that most people still look forward to it with much anticipation as a wonderful time of the year for healing, reconciliation, peace, renewal of strength and many others. After all, Christmas is not only about gift giving or having fun with our loved ones. It is a reminder that God always fulfills His promise- through the birth of His son for us to be saved. โบ๏ธ
