Here are the variants plus High Res versions of our map of The Great Mother Wave!

Heran is surrounded by a vast array of devestating tidal waves; the Waves of Tartarus. No boat or ship has been able to traverse these waters for several eras.
However, a rather vague legend states:
"To pass these waves, one's vessel must become in balance with The Great Mother Wave."
When riding the Waves of Tartarus, if you hit the sweet spot and get your balance just right, the waves will protect you and provide an almost bubble-like sphere around your vessel (Variant 1).
However, if you get the balance even slightly off, providing the Waves of Tartarus themselves don't get you, the gargantuan beings that reside in the beyond will take pleasure and power in devouring you whole (Variant 2).
