Mages Training WIP

I'm trying something a little new here, planning out the colour palette a ways in advance, and sorta flying by the seat of my pants while drawing the piece, AFTER a whole bunch of reference studies. What do you think? Tends to leave things more spontaneous most of the time.

Heck yeah! Funny enough it started out as "nondescript lizard" and just sorta became a thing. Some of the most fun ever has started this way~
