As it stands, Zuko and Katara is a beautiful story about hate, where hate comes from, and learning not to hate. Katara's arc of learning to forgive Zuko is genuinely one of the best and most poignant in the entire show, and making them a couple would've ruined it. If they end up together at the end, then anybody could go back to any scene where she genuinely hates him and say "sexual tension", taking the wind out of the sails of any lesson to be gleamed from that story. No, Zuko and Katara is a bad ship. Not trying to hate but I feel very strongly about this

Zuko and Katara actually make WAY more sense than Aang and Katara. Zuko and Katara butted heads but time and again showed they understand the other. Katara offers to heal him in Ba Sing Se and Zuko goes with her to avenge her mother without judging her, and let's not forget the two fighting Azula together. Aang just glomped onto her because she was the first person he saw after coming out of the ice and she was pretty but he barely moved past that. There's even the time Katara tells Aang she needs space and instead Aang kisses her.

This was genius! Loved it (and Opal and Bolin should have absolutely gotten more screentime. Perfect couple. Maybe a spinoff where they fight crime with cranky Grandma Toph along for the ride?)
