Patreon Exclusive Q&A - April 2023

This is the first of hopefully many pre-filmed Patron-exclusive quarterly Q&As. We received your questions last month and answered them during our most recent shoot. Did we A your Qs good? Did Alan cry? Not this time. Did they go on a tangent about chocolate and peanut butter? Maybe. Thank you for submitting your questions and for supporting us. We love our Patrons!

Patreon Exclusive Q&A - April 2023

Watched this in my living room, and all three of my dogs reacted to Alan whistling and Gandalf barking haha.

Sooo... how can I buy Finding Identity? I can buy the Gender Identity Study, but not the first one >.>

I don't think so. As I see it PPD is a state of mind where others are perceived to be influencing circumstances to your detriment. Black Swan does portray the internal distortion of the perception of reality, but through obsessive compulsion. It doesn't key on 'unknown others' influencing circumstances. Black Swan is a great movie. I love the work of Darren Aronofsky and the POV explorations of psychological perception.

Dave Shultz

I love the Q&As too! Is a podcast the next step? 🤣

I finally got around to watching this Q&A today and I was surprised to hear Jono *not* list 3:10 to Yuma as one of his five movies to watch for the rest of his life. I’ve never seen this movie, but I am DYING for you guys to do it just because I’ve heard Jono talk about it so much. Your fans love you! This fan would LOVE to see you go all out for your own favorite movie!

jeneskew

would Black Swan be another example of this?

Lynettra

Seeing da doggies was legit my fav part. Made me so happy! I love how excited Gandalf was. I want to meet da puppers!!

Donut_Worry

Ah, you have a classic treat waiting for you then. Gene Hackman stars in this 1974 mystery thriller as a surveillance expert. Francis Ford Coppola wrote, directed & produced. Won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.

Dave Shultz

I've not seen it so I can't say :(

Cinema Therapy

You mentioned "Enemy of the State" for Paranoid Personality Disorder. So, would "The Conversation" be a representation of someone going into PPD?

Dave Shultz

This was awesome - thanks!

Elizabeth McDowell

We're so glad to hear that. Thanks!

Cinema Therapy

Loved this! Definitely have some questions in mind for the next one.

Ali

So glad you enjoyed it!

Cinema Therapy

That is correct.

Cinema Therapy

Thank you for this! So, to my understanding, these Q&As with both Jono and Alan will happen less frequently than once a month so that they can both be part of the video, right?

Siusen Fong

This was so much fun. Definitely better than the separate Q&A.

Ayesha Ali

I really liked this way of doing it! Again again again!

Neurotic Cow

Alan admitting he never read his friend's book is peak "best friend." My friend wrote three middle school books and I only read one because she needed a plant to ask questions at an event.
